The late Mrs. Richmond arrived in Nelson with her parents, the late Captain and Mrs. Blundell, on Christn'r.r Day in the years 1851. and lived in the brick house in Bridge! street on the Wood side of Normanby bridge for some time. The house is still in existence. The family later on -removed to their new home at^ Staplegrove, at Waimea West, where the Blundsll family n?sided for many years. In 1856 Mrs. Richmond was married to the lato Mr. A. J. Richmond, son of the late Major Richmond, and after a brief residence at Richmond Brook, in Marlborough, she came back to Nelson, and resided -at "Tho Cliffs/ at the Port, until twelve years ago, Avhen she took up her residence in Nile street East, and lived there continuously up to the time of he* death. The deceased lady leaves three daughters, .and one son, namely, Mrs. Sclanders, Miss Richmond, Mrs. Kissling, and Mr. F. H. Richmond.
