All forward conditioned lines elicited £ood competition, and in some instances, advanced rates were obtaitM?d, while medium lambs were firm, with an upward tendency. Most of the remainder of the ewes were aged or low conditioned sheep, and for the*© pric&s were on a par with those ruling a week earlier. Lambs, forward, 13s to 13s 7d ; fa-ir stores 8s 9d to 11 s,; small sorts 8& to 9s 6d ; and cul's 4s to 7s'6d. The yarding of fat lambs was not only a very large one, totalling about 9,5'J<J. but so far as quality was ocneernod it was one of the best of the season. Well grown and well finished Limbs formed the bulk of the offering. A niumber of !otg of tegs made 20s- and upwards. ,There wae an advance of fully; 6d p^r feead in values, as compared vith la st week, though the better quality .accounted to a large extent for the- higher range of prices. Tegs made 17s 6d to 20s, extra to 225. alverage weights 14s 6d io 17s 3d, light and unfinished lots 12s to 14s.

The yarding.of pigs was a medium one mostly of a good cla.ss, but the demand lacked briskness. Choppers made 55s to 90s; heavy baconere 60s to 70s; and lighter sorts'sos to 55a, or equivalent to s}d per Ib. The best class of porkers brought 40s to 455, and lighter descriptions 30s to 37s 6d, equal to 5-} dto 51d per Ib. Store pigs were well represented by pigs. of a very useful class, and /there was good competition. The best descriptions made 35k to 42s 6d; smaller sorts 22s to 32s 6d. Small weancrs were weaker than at recent sales, but larger sorts Bold well, prices ranging from 5s 6d to 12s 6d.
