Auckland, May 8. Burglars premises in Mechanic's Bay on Monday night, and broke open a safe with dynamite. They car■riod tb« safe into the back of tho build-' ing. It is in evidence that the burglars enveloped the safe in some modelling clay which they found on tho premises, their object Doing to aoacien vnc noise of the explosion; The remains of four fusos were found near, and it would seem that the burglars worked with gloved hands. Tho noise of the explosion would not be taken much notice of, as the work on the sewer.in the vicinity has required a lot of blasting. The total value of their haul from the safe was about £5.
