The P. and O. dispute has centred in the Mooltan, which has a crew of 326, whereof 144 arc Europeans, but only 10 are able bodied seamen.

The Seamen's Union demanded that 40 white seamen should be carried.

The newspapers state that 100 of tho crew declined to sign on the Mooltan.

Tho officers state that the crew hold r. meeting in the saloon, and considering the Union's instructions unreasonable and hasty, they declined to leave .the ship.
