The railway men are agitating for an eight hour day and have threatened to strike.
SEAMEN'S DEMANDS REFUSED
A STRIKE FOLLOWS
London, May 7.
The P. and O. Company has refused tho Seamen's Union's demands that two competent whites be included in the crew for each lifeboat.
The men have now struck.
