Timaru, May 7.'
Tho second annual meeting of the local branch of the Navy League was held last night. The report showed thero are 253 adult members. 212 school children, and 120 ladies. Tho accounts showed a credit balance of £15 17s 9d. Tho president' (Mr.' J. Craigie, M.P.) said ho would do what ho could to obtain a larger twining ship than tho Arnokura, which had moro boys on board hailing from Timaru than any other place. Mr. Craigio was re-elected as president, and Mr. Arbor os secretary. The latter gentleman was praised for his zoal in tho cause.
