DISCUSSED BY WAIMEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

A special meeting of the Waimea; County Council was held yesterday to consider the provisions of the Local Go^ verriment Bill. There were* present, Ors P. Best (chairman), Everett, Drummond, Maemahon, Corder and Hoult. The clauses affecting county councils •wore discussed, and a number of .alterations were suggested, It was deemed advisable that the Press should b e admitted to the meetings of the Local Government Board, the clause in the Bill at present providing that the meeting* of "the Board should bo he'd in private. It was also resolved that in the opinion of the Council. th s Murehison County should be included in the Nelson, province, as .their interests ware more closely identified with Nelson than Inangahua and Buller. .
