WOOL SHEEP SKINS, HIDES AND) TALLOW SALE.

Tho Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as'follows: We held our usual fortnight]}' salo on May 3rd, of sheep skins, hides and talW. There was a large attendance of buyers and bidding was brisk. Sheepskins sold, if anything, slightly better than last saliv whilst hid© and tallow prices were well maintained. We are holding all wool over until tho end of th© present month, when we are holding a special sale of crutehings. Wo,quote: Shrop skins: Crossbred, fino, <} ( d to 7§d, medium and coarse 6Jd. to 7 : \;d, half-wools 6d to 6}d, quarter-wools 3Jd to s^d, pelts, bare, dry, to lOd. dead and broken 2|d to 5Jd; lamb skins .4-Jd to 6Jd; salted skins 2 S to 4s 7d each; lamb skins 2s Cd to 3s. Hides: Ox 6d to 8d; cow 6d to 7d; dry hides to s|d; calf skins to 12d. Tallow: In casks, mixed, 28s 6d par cwt; in tins and boxes 19s 6d to 24s 6d.
