Mary, and reieronce was made to the rcisignation of His LoixJship Bishop ilulos.who had. ably presided over tho.Oioce.se for • many years. Regrt>t was expressed that advancing years made thn work of the Diocese too a-rduous for him, and that ho had folt compelled to retire. The- hope was expressed that ; as they intended to continue to reside in tho'district, that both ho and Mrs. Mulas would continue to help and further every good work. During tho year there were 17 baptisms (7 being of adult age), 85 persons confirmed, 11 marringi es, 13 burials and 27 celebrations of thr 'Holy Communion, with 1800 communicants. The 3?arish owcicl a debt of gratitude to the late Mrs. Richmond, senr., for her great kindness m enlarging the schoolroom in Shelbourno street, which was now fitted up with conveniences for 'social gatherings. Tho Vicar oppressed his thanks to tho Sunday school teachers for their assistance, to the Ladies Guild, tho Flower Guild, and the Churchwardens and Vestry, and to the organist and choir. Referring to tho report and balance shoot, Mr. W. Heaps, the People's Churchwarden, said it was very _ satisfactory to note that the offertories for the past year were a record, also that ' the amount raised by tho Ladies' Guild ;in connection with the organ fund, I £140, was likewise a record. In moving the adoption of both statements, Mr. A. T. Maginnity remarked that they revealed a very satisfactory state of affairs, and showed that considerable progress had been made during the voar.

Mr. J. C. Mercer seconded tho motion, and the report and balance sheet were adopted. Before proceeding with the election of officers, the chairman announced that Mr. W. Heaps intended to resign the position of People's Churchwarden. The church was very much indebted to tho retiring warden for the manner in 'vhich he had carried out his duties. Tie felt that his age and the attention ho. required for other matters rendered his resignation necessary. Mr. Heaps said that tho Viecir line! ■expressed his sentiments. Tho duties should be carried out by a younger imm, but he. hoped that this would be done m an honorous capacity. Tho following officers were then elected: People's Churclrwardon. Mr. A. C. Masiinnity: Vicar's Churchwarden, Mr. W.Thompson ; Vestry, Messrs. J. O. Mrr^cr, V. H. Richmond, J. F. Frith, J. Hoiilker, W. Heaps, 11. T. Mrlhuish, ICockburn, T. Eastcott, H. Trent, L. .Mfi.trinnity ; auditor, Mr. Bamford. Voto s of thanks were passed to the following: Ths organist and choir ; ]\'\: r--<i 'vi.n.';i:i:nty, tor collecting p;;w

r"7i!s-: -the Viowcr Guild ; Ladies' Guild : Mr. Baraford, tho auditor; Sunday pch-r»ol superintendent and trachersj the College boys, for contribution to mission fi.in<!R,' and for interest in the Church service; the retiring officers and Vestry.

"That the parishioners of th<> Christ Church Parish desire to express the::r deep sense of loss in tho death of Mr. R. I.
