ADVANCE IN PRICES SHORTLY

Further increases in the prioe of genpral groceries are probable, and in some instances are certain. A reporter, during the course of his inquiries, learned from one of the largest wholesale distributors in this city, that prices arc finely cut on grocery lines^ and are bound to advance very shortly. After a careful calculation it has. been ascertain: ed that the wholesale importers business costs at least 1J per cent more to run now than was the case two or three years ago.
