HAYWARD'S PICTURES.

A. splendid varied programmei of films all entirely new to Nelson will bo screened! at Hayward's to-day. A stirring Western film in "Kit Carson's Wooing" will doubtless meet with a hearty reception. "Kit" is not,^ as many' would imagine, a member of tho fair .sex. He is a scout, hunter,. trapper, and soldier of fortune. Through his heroic efforts he frustrates an attempt by renegade Indians, whom ho had*been up against for years, to-am-bush tho stag© coach. The Edison Company is now a rival of the Vitagraph. A capital comedy just brimming over with humorous situations, by the former, entitled "A Cure for Crime," is sure to provo a popular item in this series. Two splendid travel items in Norwegian scenery (always worth seeing) and the fauna of tropical rivers, will also bo'screened. Other dramatics highly spoken of are^ "Conspiracy Against tho, King," and "The Kiss of Mary Jane." Of tho comics, "Road Hogs in Toyland" is entirely enacted with mechanical toys, and is said to appeal strongly to both grown-ups and tho young folk. "A Hustled Wedding ' is another comic which is 'described as suro to banish "dull care."
