MAITAI GREEN.
In the morning at nine o'clock three rinks from the Takaka Club played three rinks from the Maitai Club, the * former scoring 4-1 to 38. At eleven o'olock another rink from Takaka played a rink from tho Maitai Club, when the latter scored 18 to their opponents 3. Maitai also played Newtown 4 lliversdale, Levin and Thorndon, winning against the- throe, first-named and losing to Thorndon by 2 points. In tho afternoon the capacity of the green was fully occupied, Maitai playing matches against Victoria, Newt-own, Riversdale Ilaitaitai, Wellington (3), 'anil Thorndon. The local rinks were beaten by Victoria, Riversdalo and Wellington (two rinks), but were successful against tho other rinks. Playing against Haitaitai the rink skipped by E. Richards scored the possible in ono head. The green played splendidly and was favourably commented on by tho visitors. In the afternoon tea was provided by Mrs J.
