She was going to catch a tram when the defendant, a tailor, coming in the: opposition direction with his head down and in a hurry,-collided with th o plaintiff, knocking her across the. tram track on her back. As a, result of the collision plaintiff was- injured and slio claimed damages. After hearing the evidence the Magistrate awarded plaintiff damages sufficient to co7«r 5s a week for a year (£l3) and expenses amounting to £5 14s,
