Auckland, April 1. A cable was received by the Town. Clerk, this morning from Sydney, conrvcying a request- that th e Town. Hall should be reserved for either Aprjl 22n"d <w 291h on bo-hMf of Captain Amundsen, tho Antarctic, explorer. • ■'- ■.:.-;• A eablo was despatched■■•• by ■ Mr.Sinythe, who has charge of the •.arr.ang-e----mont for any lectures which may bo givon by Captain Amundsen during his call at New Zealand, en route to South America for tho purpose of joining .the Fram i^rior t-o her drift to the North ■Pol-o. It is considered probable that Captain Amundsen will arrive in Auckland from Sydney on April 21st.
