RETIREMENT OF BISHOP MULES (From "The Colonist. Jan. 12.) We are informed by tlie Bishop ol Nelson that he has sent to the Bishor of Christchurch, the Acting-Primate notice of his desire to resign the Set of Nelson, and to retire from the duties of tho office from June 30tl; CThe .Right Rev. Charles 0. Mules. M.A., D.D.j was consecrated Bishor. of Nelson, on February 24th, 1892, in succession to the late .Bishop Suter to whom he had been chaplain from 1869 until that year. The consecration of Bishop Mules took place at St. Paul's Pro-Cathedra:, Wellington, en February 24th, 1801 the officiating prelates being the Bishops, of Wellington (Primate-), Auckland, Dunedin, Waiapu, and Christchurch. In 1908 Bishop Mules attended the Lambeth Conference and the Pan-Anglican Congress. It is probable that the selection of Dr. Mules' successor will be macfc at an early dote.
