THE "DAILY MAIL" CUP. I United Peess Association.] Wellington, Jan. 16. The "Daily Mail" cup presented by tho "Daily Mail" proprietary to overseas rifle clubs, has now reached Wellington. The cup was won by tho Wellington Suburbs Rifle Club at the last contest, the members, comprising the team being Messrs Newton, Ross, Smart, Gowor, Feliiugham, Jackson, Turner and Mih-oy. The officers in charge of tho rango were Captain Martin and Lieutenants Mclor and Mcc Tlie cup has been somewhat damaged in transit. The hundred pound trophy is accompanied by a smaller cup, won outright by the successful team. This will bo competed for annually by tho members of the Club. The Cup now on view lias been successively won by tho East London Rifle Club in. 1908, by the Rathurst Civilian Rifle Club (N.S.W.) in 1909, by the Grauville Technical Coilefo Rifle Club (N.S.W.) in ]910, and by the Wellington Suburbs Defence Rifle Club in 1911. The cup is shot forW Empire Day in each year. It is a magnificent specimen of the silversmiths' art, stands 3 feet in height, and measures 17 inches across the diameter of the globe.
