Tlio wool sales closed ;it tliu highest point for the series. There, was good rrmipetition from iiII quarters, especially for Merino. There was a buoyant tone throughout the series, and prices were steadily sustained. There was in excellent representation of Merino;:, strourctls being fully o pel c-snt above the September rates, bctt greasy combines par, fanlties par to •"j per cent below; good lots of medium and 'shabby crossbrcjs 10 per. cent aijov'o; iiiifi c-ro-^fibreds and islso slips and sonureds vei'3 o per cent above the Sc-))tenibcr rates. Lambs sold at par.
