One half of tho reservoir at Clifton, Sum nor, burst yesterday afternoon, and about 50,000 gallons of Mater was lost. The bursting of the reservoir is attributed to faulty workmanship, and according to the Mayor of Sumner it will be necessary to have the whole of the resetvoir rebuilt.
