Mr Complin, secretary of the New South Wales Alliance, is jubilant at the New Zealand vote, and says nobody can deny that it is a grand victory. With the assistance of tho Catholic vote it is probable prohibition could havo been carried with a good deal to spare.

The oiiiuials of tho Licensed Victuallers' Association declined to discuss the position on the incomplete figures.
