rlhe Wakapuaka Defence Ride Club held its ihst competition on Saturday last for prize money presented by the president, Mr W. H. Alborough. The conditions were seven shots at 200 and 31)0 yards. The shooting throughout was vory good, considering it wan the first time that sovcual or the competitors had never iired a shot on ,i range before. The following wvi\' the principal scores :—
