Tho Tramway Company's employees this morning spent two and a hair hours discussing the request of tho company to allow a settlement of tne demands to stand over till December 24, when the managing director arrives in Auckland. It is understood that it was resolved by the majority that tho requested postponement bo refused and an immediate settlement demanded. A incotiny of the balance of the employees will bo held to-night. It is understood that the general feeling is strongly averse to tho postponement, which would carry tho dispute over the Christmas holidays.
