AUSTRALIAN SEAMEN'S AWARD.

A meeting of the Steamship Owners' Association will be held shortly to discuss the seamen's award. A leading shipowner declared that the owners had no alternative but to accept it, but it would be very'awkward and difficult to conduct discipline under tho new conditions, if it were practicable at all. Another states that the probable result will be tho raising of freights and fares.
