Over 400,000 marks, largely cash, weighing a hundredweight, was abstracted from a postal van in a crowded street in four minutes. The thieves escaped. The van driver was arrested and the polico afterwards arrested a man named Cavollo in tho streets, carrying a sack of money and orders. The polico searched Cavello's rooms and found practically all the cash. It is believed that the thief burned securities valued at 100,000 marks.
