AN ARTILLERYMAN KILLED.
Wellington, Nov. 25
Yernon Richardson ,a member of the D battery of artillery, was drivin~ along the Hutt road on Saturday afternoon with other members of the company when he fell oil. The wheels of tlie vehicle passed over the loner part of Richardson's body causing severe injuries, from which he died in tho hospital to-day. Deceased was a single man, and was employed as a chemist's assistant.
(Young RielinnlKon ivns the oldest son of Major Richardson, tho well known artillery officer who is now on a voyage to England, where he is to enter upon a further course of study. Mrs. Richardson and tlie rest of the family accompany .Major Richardson, and tho oldest son was to follow in January. He was employed at Messrs Kemptliorne and Prosscr's establishment and was to have been transferred to the London house so that lie could be with his family. Deceased was a nephew of Mr Robert Warren of Messrs. Bert Tasker and Co. of this city.]
