De iveniig a sermon in Welsh at a Welsh Baptist Chapel in London, Mr Lloyd Ueorge said tho Labour party was making a mistake in believing it possible to win reforms through the people who suffer alone. Reforms were impossible without the leadership of men who gain nothing thereby. Jlns self-sacnee proved the all importance of interpreting politics by the light of religion. If the Christian church were destroyed there would be nothing to protect the people from the forces of despotism, cruelty, and selfseoking.
