David Moffatt, who was known throughout America as "Tho Silver King" (says the Now York correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" on March 19th) died here last night of pneumonia, aged 72, leaving a fortune estimated at £12,000,000. He began life as a messenger boy, and, by fores of hard work, good luck, and native ability, made himself a great industrial, mining, and financial power.
