During the rebels' recent attack on Fez, gangs of ruffians looted shops and several persons were killed. The rebels have informed Mulai Hand that if he abdicates Europeans wil) not be harmed. Colonel Gournand, with two battalions, has reached Elkunitra. General Giuliani's column is escorting a convoy of 2400 camels. It comprises 3500 troops, including natives. The French advance is having an inspiring effect at Fen and among the Government troops.
