WEATHER FORECAST.

Wellington, May 3. The following is the Rev. D. C. Bntes' summary and forecast:— Considerable rain fell last night northward of Kawhia and Napier, but ©xocr>t about the East Cape, whore a galo is still blowing, the wind has gono down and the weather has improved. To-day easterly and southeasterly winds have prevailed in the North Island, and easterly and northerly winds in the South. Present indications are for moderate to strong southerly winds northward of Hokitika and Kaikoura, and variable winds elsewhere, cool and changeable weather probable generally, the barometer rising slowly everywhere soon, but only temporarily in the southern districts.
