Messrs John Best and Philip Best, oxecutors of the will of the late Charles Best, of Appleby, have conveyed to tho Stoke Road Board a piece of land adjoining Mr T. A. Cook's property for the purposes of widening a crossing at the creek. At the monthly meeting of the Board last Saturday it was unanimously resolved to thank Messrq Bert for their generosity.
