Adelaide, May 1. A sensational shooting affray occurred at Renmark. Night watchman Odgers surprised a man attempting to set fire to the Fruit Packing Union's shed. The man fired a revolver and the bullet struck Odgers on the breast, piercing the coat, but a stiff backed pocket book prevented it from inflicting a wound.

Odgers returned tho fire and a desperate struggle followed. Tho man again fired, and Odgers was wounded in the leg and also received some bad injuries from tho weapon used by the desperado, who eventually got away.
