GREYMOUTH RACES.

! Creymouth, April ].-. ■ The second day of the Gieymoutli Jockey Club's autumn meeting was , held to-day in perfect weather. There, was a large attendance and tho fields were a record for the Coast, and tho racing was most exciting. Tho totalisator investments amounted to £8830 or an increase of £3300 for the meeting. The following are the results :— 1 Flying Handicap: Rurik 1, Miss Sylvia 2, Wild Bird 3. Longton was scratched. Ton started, a splendid | race, which was won by a short length. Ngahere Haok: Negative 1, Katua 2, Divorce 3. Scratch, Featherston. Won easily. : Midland Railway Handicap: Wild Bird 1, Shannon Lass 2, Tho Cornet 3. Scratch, Rurik. Nino starters. A. splendid race. Won on the poet. President's Handicap: Herewara 1, Largeon 2, Millionaire 3. Scratch, Surmount, Conquestina, Balmy Breeze, Red Wing and Sea Spray. Won easily. Country Handicap: Rurik 1. Kin." Try 2, Miss Sylvia 3. Scratch, Kb and Mania. Won easily. Ahanra Welter: Divorce ], Puro Rose 2, First View 3. Scratch, North Polo, Ito, The Cornet, Uproar, Red Wing and Tho Orient. !
