FIRE AT NORTH EAST VALLEY.

A shop and dwelling owned by Mr. W. M. Roberts, and occupied by Mr. Tlios. Bell, pastry cook, situated in th© main road at North East Valley, was destroyed by fire aboiit 10.30 last night. Mr. Bell, who locked the shop up at 9.50, cannot account for the ori- , gin of the fire. Tho stock,, plant, and 1 furniture were insured for £50 in the \ New Zealand office, and for £25 in ( the Phoenix office. Mr. Bell puts his ■ loss down at £140. j ■
