SERGEANT FRANK WINS A

RIFLE.

The United Service Match, between teams of twntit.y men representing Rifle Clubs and Territorials respectively, was fired after the King's' Match, and resulted in the finest shooting of tha meeting—in fact the nollcctivci performance was perhaps the most biilhp.nt in tho history of New Zealand marksmanship, and it is safe to say that it has rarely, if over, been equalled anywhere in the world. Tho finish was exceedingly close, the Riflenc\ winning b >' only three points. Both teams averaged nearly 4J points per shot—a truly wonderful performance. The match was fired in a rapidly fading light. At 500 and 600 yards out of a possible of 100, three Riflemen and four Territorials scored "99.
