Mr Bramwoll Booth, in a spcrch at Clapham announced that an operation for cataract would be performed in the General's remaining eye in the autumn. Meanwhile* General Booth's eyen are bandaged and he takes daily walks about his home, familiarising himself with objects in case of the possible failure of the -operation, and consequent blindness.
