Sydney, March 10. The Methodist Conference resolved to appoint a committee to collect and study social facts with the object of educating public opinion in the direction of social order, which .shall express the ideals and spirit of Christianity. The Rev Mr Baale, mover of the resolution, declared that the Church showed indifference on most public questions. Ho added that if tho Church had done its duty to the working classes it would not havft been necessary for them to turn to trades iinions and other organisations for relief. Ho strongly condemned inculcating a spirit of militarism in children.
