Wellington, March 10. Boxing matches took place at tha Opera House this owning to raise funds towards the expenses of sending athletes to the Festival of Empira Sports in London. There, was a fair attendance. The principal contest was between Dos Burns, of Potone, and A Leckie. of Wellington. Fifteen rounds were to have been fought. Burns was winning on points in th© earlier part of the contest, bufc after severe punishment he threw in the towel at tho end of the tenth round, and the fight was awarded to Leekie.
