At a meeting held on Wednesday, Dr. Hudson in the chair, it was decided to promote a hockey club for the district. The name of the new club will be the "Shedwood Hockey Club." Dr. Hudson consented to act as president and the hon. secretary is Mr Eric Jones. The. committee consists of Misses Gladys •Wadsworth, M. Jones, and Head, together with Messrs. Ford Wadsworth, F. Hodgkinson, M. Jones P. Coleman, and F. Biggs Mr Russell Macmahon was elected captain for the coming season, and there is no reason wh.y the new club should not have a successful career before it.
