The Harowhenua "Chronicle." reports that, after some years of patient study and investigation, Mr W. HTaylor, orchard superintendent at tne Weraroa Experimental Farm, has discovered a most effe«tivQ treatment for white blight. Mr Taylor f^rtis fche affected part—in winter i»me only— with red oil, half a gallon of water, and o.ne pound of soft sflan, This is diluted about forty times with water for efwaj'jng purposes, -but Mr Taylor uses the; emulsion without any adulteration, and applies it to the whorls with a small brush. It is claimed that th© emulsion now in' us© thoroughly exterminates the insert, .
