At each of these fixtures the attendance was good a,ndi at the ram fair large, being well represented from all parts ot tne province and the West oCast. Tho. following prices were realised :— Cattte.—Calves, 'small, 24s to £(* 6d- good, three to four months, on bucket, 28s to 32& Gd; mixed yearlings to 15 month®, 45s to 50s; forward to fat cows, £3-5s to £5 10s; forward .steers, £4 15s to £5 19s; 2} to 3 year old steers, £3 10s to £4 10s; bullocks, fat and forward, £5 10s, £b to £6 9s 6d; cows, old, 4Qs> to 655. Sheep.—Cull ewes, 3s, ss, to /s; ,ewe.s cif mixed ages, light condition 7s to 8s; 4 6, and 8-toofch, in good condition, 9s to 10s; fat ewes, 10s to 11s; small store wethers, 8s to 9s; forward wethers, 2 and 4-tooth, 10b to lls. At Murohison top prices were made- for extra good Baton forward wethers, .wlhioh reached 12s lOd to 13s 3d; prime fat wethers, extra quality, 13s to 149; stone lambs, small, made -Is Gtl to 6s; medium, 6s 6d to 7s 4d; good, 8s 2d to 9s; fats, lls 3d to 12s. Rams.—Ronxney Marsh 2-tooth,»£3 12s Gd to £4 4a; good 6-tooth, 40s to 60s; 8-tooth, 20s to 355; Lincoln 2tooth, £ 445; 6 and 8-tooth, £1 10s to £2 10&; Corriedale, £3 to £4 4s; Shropshires, 2-tooth £3, 6 and 8-tooth £1 5s to £2 10s; English Leicesters, £1 10s to £ 335; merino, 8-tooth, £1 ss, £1 10s to £2. A lino of stud Shropshire wros was cleared at los 3d. Horses. —Few were offering. SaZes wore made of hacks, £10 to £12; medium, draught, £18 to £20.

With TpferiMice to our annual ram fair, this fixturo having grown to such largo dimensions as compared with a few 3-oars back, we see a necessity to -still enlarge its scope, and in future we will make this fixture a bwo days' fair, which ivill meet sellers' wishes and bo more, in keeping with similar large siales held in other parts of th© Dominion.
