Mr T. E. Taylor, M.P. sent the following telegram to Sir Joseph Ward : "The decision of the, Land Board that applicants lor pastoral runs must possess cash equal to several years rental, and that one man may .apply for all the runs if he pleases, is equal to handing over pastoral country to wealthy men for another generation. Cannot you prevent such outrage being perpetrated P If this surrender to wealth and Conservatism is permitted the landless class will rightly feel that they are abandoned by the Government. The Liberal minority on tho Land Board is unable to protect the people."
