At the inquest on the death of Mr. Henry Mortimer Leathern, who died undor an anaesthetic at the Christchurch Hospital yesterday, evidence showed that the deceased was a strong muscular man, and that all his organs wero healthy. Dr. Talbot, who made the post mortem, said that death was due to paralysis or the heart, caused by til'? patient's violent struggles under the anaestlibtie, whitj'.i, iin this ease, was a mixture of chloroform and ether in equal parts.
