The last meeting of the Grey Harbour Hoard decided to concede'£looo duo for royalty on the old. Briium-r mine for many years, accepting a bill for £.100 and 12 n:;:-.i1hs for the balance.. This was strongly opposed by Mr Russell, .Mayor of Greyinouth, tho only dissentient from the recommend-

A mass mooting of tho Wharf Labourers' Union was held yesterday. «'hou ii resolution was unanimously ermrd complimentary reference beingmade to tho Mayor's stand in this matter; and ai'.so of the Borough Council regarding the building laws.
