The number of truly great singers in existence at the present time can be counted on the fingers, and that Mdllo Aiitonia. Dolores is--among them is amply demonstrated by the fact that she has sung "by command" before Kings and Queens. Moreover, Dolores is known and welcomed in every t musical city throughout tho whole of I Europe, and wlieiev:-r she appears ! huge audiences greet her to do honour to ono who is truly a great singer in en-cry sense of the word. That tho Nelson public appreciate the above facts is shown by a glance at the box plan. An artist of Mdllo Doloms' attainments is only heard in New- Zealand at long intervals and this is doubtless recognised. Mdle. has just finished a phenomenally successful series of r-rcitals in Canterbury. Otago and the West Coast and she will arrive in Nelson early ou Saturday morning.
