A DWELLING DESTROYED.
Auckland-, March 8. The two-storey residence of Mr. Edmund Mahonoy, solicitor, at RemUr-ra was destroyed by (ire at midnight, in the absence of the family and servants The whole-of the furniture was alsio destroyed. The building was owned by Mr. Hale, of Wellington. The police had been informed that tho dwelling would be unoccupied lor same time, and a constable was going to the houso to ceo if everything was safo when lufound the building ablaze The origin of flip outbreak is a mystery.
