HAWKE CUP MATCH. [United Pbess Assooiatiok,] i Wanganui, Feb. 15. i Tho Hawke Cup match was played here to-day between South Taramki I and Piangitikei to decide which Icim is to meet Southland in the final at Chiistchurch. ~ The weather was gloriously fine, and the wicket was fast. Taranaki won tho toss, and started , well —142 for one wicket—when the remaining batsmen collapsed, all being out for 188. G. Duiilop 74, Ba- ' ker 46, McCarthy 19 and Pratt 13 were the chief scorers. Hussey took 6 wickets for 4 runs, llangitikei batted well, scoring 314, B. Signal GO, Hill GB, E. Broad 31, and Arkwright (not out) being the principal scorers. Signal and' Arkwright added 91 for the last wicket. The match will bo continued to-day.
