TAPAWERA.

• The annual Sunday school treat took place on Saturday last. The climatic conditions proved favourable to the occasion^ and a pleasant function was experienced. The scholars competed for prizes in a field kindly lent for the occasion by Mr G. Macmahon,and the various events 'proved interesting, and at "times amusing. A consolation race was held at the finish,, open to allthose who had not been- successful in the other/events: fUr^ Hudson kindly presented' the prizes to the successful competitors.. After the races, etc., an =■ r?i»iurn"nent was made to the local hallj where an excellent repa,st was served, to scholars and friends. The, tables were presided ;i<>ver;> by Mesdiaiifis Hudson, .Rutherf urd v -and. Maemahon, and the Misses "I Bradsha*,. Betts, and Gladys Wadsworth. After tea Sirs Hudson presented prizes to the scholars for regular attendance during 'the year; Miss Rosie Biggs, on "behalf of the scholars, presented Mrs Hudson with a suitable gift, as a "token of esteem and regard for their teacher.
