A statutory ineeting of the Waimea County.. -Council for the purpose of electiog -a, chairman for the ensuing year, was held at the County Council offices yesterday. Members present were : Crs. P. Best, H. Everett, G. Macriiahon,; T, Hewetson, W. Alborough, arid E. S. Hoult. ; Tho Clerk (JVIr S.
