At a meeting of the brokers and buyers of Coven t Garden markets it was resolved to call the attention of the Australian and Tasmanian AgentsGeneral to the present system cf lightering fruit, which is detrimental to the interests both of trrowers and the trade, owing to tlie delay caused in delivery. Buyers will give preference to salesmen able to give prompter delivery.
