FIRE NEAR ASHBURTON.

Ashburton, April 19
Two stacks of oat sheaves, containing approximately 1000 bushels of grain, the property of John Cochrane, were totally destroyed by fire at Elgin yesterday. It is supposed that the cause was a spark from the engine driving the machinej which was about to commence threshing the grain.
