BURGLARIES AT WELLINGTON.

Wellington, April 19. Last night a burglary was effected at Pearce's boot shop in Cuba streetj and a quantity of new boots valued at £20 were stolen. John E. Lindberg's (draper) shop was also broken into, and property stcCen. To-day, before noon. Detectives Lewis and ,, Rawle arrested a man named Martin Tier, who is alleged to be concerned in the offences, and it is stated recovered, a large portion of the stolen property. Tier will be brought before the' magistrate to-morroWj and charged with the crimes of breaking and entering and theft.
